Ganbare Japan! Strasburgo x C. Chauchat

In the wake of the tsunami in Japan,  Strasburgo sent out a call for encouragement letters from its designers to “cheer up all the fashion fans here in Japan” with the goal of collecting encouragement letters from all over the world and share them with our customers.

Above is our entry to for the Lidea Company Support Activity, and which you can also see here along with many other letters, pictures, and notes here.

PS. Strasburgo has just relaunched their website with a new blog and features section!

Who’s your daddy

We have a new project we’ll be announcing soon with the Blind Barber–it’s been a great pleasure to work with Jeff Laub!

In the meanwhile Gilt MAN and other websites we love have been writing about C. Chauchat, including  CoolhuntingT MagazineJ. Crew, and Nylon Guys.

C.Chauchat for Robert Geller

We are delighted to reveal our FW 2011 collaboration with Robert Geller, inspired by the dusky mauves and greys of Visconti’s epic The Leopard. The ties, scarves, and bowties feature overlays of collaged chiffon on top of striped seersucker, polka-dot and solid color chiffon.

BlackBook x C. Chauchat: “Objects of complex beauty that put men in a frenzy”

We’re working on a very special project for the forthcoming FW 2011 New York Fashion Week. In the meanwhile BlackBook Magazine profiles C. Chauchat, highlighting our latest collection we designed with the “dandy tourist” in mind.

Our friends at 01 Magazine recently held a group show which we dropped by, featuring the photographic talent of man-about-town Steve Halo.

Stockist update: C. Chauchat holiday deliveries for Assembly New York and Creatures of Comfort are arriving next week!

The mettle of a man

At Chauchat HQ, we appreciate throwing in a final touch to finish off an outfit, and feel that tie clips are an underrated and less obvious way of adorning the male form.

Our friend and jewelry designer Eugenie of Deka Ray used C.Chauchat as a muse for her new tie clip and cufflink designs. Shown are the light divided corner and light divided acute tie clips in oxidized silver, on our Siggi and Charlie ties. Contact sales@dekaray.com for more information.

170 Atelier

Our 170 Atelier holiday sale was a great success, thanks for all who made it out during the first snowstorm of the season! We were honored to be in attendance with some great friends and fellow designers.
